Billy Libby is a composer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist and producer/audio engineer from Portland, ME currently living in Brooklyn, NY.
Billy co-scored The Last Out, winner of the Emmy for Best News and Documentary in 2024. He is currently the main composer for the Slumberkins brand as well as having been a songwriter on the Jim Henson and Apple TV show Slumberkins.

He has composed the theme for TIME Magazine's Person of the Week podcast, Borrowed from the Brooklyn Public Library, News Items from The Recount, Mic Check from Spotify and Have a Nice Future from WIRED Magazine. His music has been featured on WSJ's The Journal, Gimlet Media's Every Little Thing and The Pitch, The Creeping Hour from WGBH/PRX, and branded content for Google, Lyft and more.

Along with composing and sound design for podcasts and film he has produced and arranged recordings for Ingrid Michaelson, Rachel Platten, Elle King and Ahi. Billy is also the guitar player and backing vocalist for Singer-Songwriter Ingrid Michaelson. With Ingrid, he's toured internationally and performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Conan, and The Today Show.

Billy’s personal music projects such as Fort Gorgeous and The Weird Years have been featured on Nylon Magazine and Uproxx as well as on Project Runway and other television shows. Billy also directs songwriting workshops and teaches music for RipRap Friends and previously for The Center for Grieving Children's Multicultural Program, The Moyer Foundation and Ethical Culture Fieldston School.
